CEL Components' composites always arrive on time

Sandwich panels, especially those with an aluminium honeycomb core and skins or aluminium or fiberglass skins, are particularly suited for application in the railway sector. The reason for their use since the 1980s is the combination of light weight, stability, high mechanical performance and excellent fire behaviour.
Within the railway sector itself, sandwich panels lend themselves to a variety of applications:

• sandwich panels for floors;
• sandwich panels for seats, tables or cabinets;
• components for anti-slip platforms;
• flat or curved panels for ceilings and partition walls;
• clima-acoustic panels
   

CEL makes use of its experience to create, together with customers and design studios, products to be integrated into the structure according to the needs expressed by the customers (possibility of inserts, edging, through holes or cavities for cables of any kind).
The ductility of aluminium and fibreglass sandwich panels makes it possible to meet the most stringent requirements of customers in the railway sector.

The materials offered range from aluminium to plastics with aesthetic finishes that make the sandwich panels ready for assembly.

CEL also offers its customers a range of machining operations such as edging, shaping, painting or adding inserts. For special projects, CEL uses 2D and 3D CAD software for the analysis of complex geometries and two laboratories for chemical and physical tests.
